wesleyrp
To me I loved the Cavaliers a lot this decade and loved the Cadets alot in the 90's.... But I still enjoyed quite a few Cadets programs.. 1) 2009- Thank goodness they returned to being the Cadets... 2) 2004- Liked this show a lot, didn't get a ton of press... 3) 2002- Great show, probably the best tribute show of it's kind... 4) 2005- Loved the first Zone, very inventive, but I wouldn't have liked the idea of amplification if I had known in '05 what they were going to do with it the next 3 years.... 5) 2003- Good show, liked it, not love it... 6) 2001- I may be the only person that really did not care for this show.... 7) 2000- Same as above, just wasn't my cup of tea... 8) 2007- Meh... 9) 2008- Meh Meh 10) 2006- Maybe the show I like the least in all of DCI Finals of the 00's.... euponitone
Pretty predictable 1. 2000 - while i think my show was 'better' in ways, this is one of the shows that got me into the activity, and i still show it to people instead of 05 2. 2005 - Duh. The score, the weirdness, the amazing performance 3. 2002 - Yeah, its not popular, but their performance at east in 02 (and the encore) convinced me to march cadets 4. 2007 - Possibly my favorite music of the decade, and close to favorite drill 5. 2009 - havent seen the final version yet, but hoping for good things 6. 2003 - I dont actually love the show (as far as watching it), but the memories of that year (mainly how #### hard it was) do it for me 7. 2001 - I wish it could be higher. AMAZING hornline, and drums....and more.... 8. 2006 - Hated to perform it. Dont mind watching it actually 9. 2004 - Yeah....glad i skipped a year 10. 2008 - Its not that the narration was bad (it was though), but i couldnt get into the music AT ALL (except for the end) didnt help that it was nowhere near clean
Musicman1084
I wish this list could be "Best of the Decade, plus 1998 and 1999" :) 1. 2000 - We Are the Future (One of the first shows I fell in love with) 2. 2005 - The Zone: In Four Parts With a Door 3. 2002 - An American Revival (I fell in love with the ballad - first show I saw live!) 4. 2003 - Our Favorite Things 5. 2007 - This I Believe (Loved the music all around, but hated the incessant rambling) 6. 2001 - Juxtaperformance 7. 2009 - West Side Story 8. 2006 - Through the Looking Glass 9. 2004 - Living with the Past 10. 2008 - ...and the Pursuit of Happiness (seriously?...) Dr.Mickey
I'll play along: 1. 2001 2. 2000 3. 2003 4. 2002 (although, admittedly easier to listen to than to watch) 5. 2009 (moving up by the end of the year, I'm sure) 6. 2005 7. 2007 8. In eighth place, which is actually a tie for tenth place...2006, 2004, 2008
Cardman
Well, here is my list or "Hate fest". I have to warn you, the Cadets are by FAR my least favorite corps of this decade. I am not a Cadets hater, I just hated most of their shows this decade. I love them this year! 1. 2000 - We are the future: Great show all around, lots of now classic moments. 2. 2001 - Juxtaperformance: 2001 was a blah year for me, but this is one of my favorite shows from that year. 3. 2002 - An American revival: Great marching and playing, though they used lots of props and it was cheesy. 4. 2009 - Conflict and Resolution (We all know it's WSS.): Finally they shut up and play. I love it! 5. 2003 - Our favorite things: Honestly, this one didn't do much at all for me. Very emotionless to me. 6. 2004 - Living with the past: Jethro Dull. Snooze fest. 7. 2005 - The Zone: Over hyped, over rated, so what. I did not like this show at all (as if you couldn't tell) 8. 2008 - ...and the pursuit of happiness: Ending was awesome, rest of the show was crap, imo. 9. 2006 - Part 2: Through the looking glass: How do I hate thee? Let me count the ways...Ridiculous garbage. 10.2007 - This I believe: A travesty of drumcorps. They could march and play, but the talking ruined it. Big time. Harmonious Cacophony
1. 2000- Show that "got me into drum corps." One of the all time best performances. 2. 2009- I love WSS, and this show is just plain awesome. 3. 2001- Fast notes are fun 4. 2002- Cheese? Sure. It still gives me goosebumps every time I watch/listen to it. 5. 2005- Some things I really liked, other things... not so much... yet, I cannot deny the awesomeness 6. 2003- A very cool and fun show 7. 2007- Hard as hell, but hard to get past the yapping. 8. 2004- Groovy, but not the best idea 9. 2008- Again with the talking 10. 2006- Can't stand it.
