Kiltiejoe
I was a 14 yr old rookie in the kiltie contra line in "72"
Scerpella
I was there with the Spectacle City Mariners, we took 30th in prelims. This was after I had gone down to Kilties that winter and decided we were going to be better than them in 72 (Kilties took 8th) Our one claim to fame was winning the unoffical M&M execution side 2 title. There were two on field execution judges back then and our side 2 score won prelims and wasnt topped at finals. Probably some ex Mariner judging that day. http://www.fromthepressbox.com/recaps7279.htm
DPEmerald
Missed it, I was there in 73 with 27th. At least I got to march DCI championships in Whitewater!
mobrien
http://www.fromthepressbox.com/recaps7279.htm Fascinating to be reminded how all over the place the captions could be in the early to mid 70s. 6 different corps winning different captions in prelims, from every tier of the final 12. OK Badoomp - was that like when "Water" did that at Parade in '86 (talk about embarrasing!)? Otherwise I was curious as to why you repeated your post.... Northern Thunder
1972 Bridgemen........WOW!!! Easily one of the most crowd-pleasing shows in DCI history. The crowd at U.S. Open (including me) went CRAAAAAAAAAZZZZZZZZZY for you guys in '72!!
