kevingamin
First on the field in Class A competition are the Vigilantes. Their 2009 program is entitled "Pastime" and consists of: It Don't Mean a Thing If It Ain't Got That Swing Prologue 1915-1923 Knock The Cover Off The Ball (from The Natural) Take Me Out To The Ballgame Sing Sang Sung
kevingamin
Guard's doing stretches like baseball players getting ready for a game. I like how in character the guard gets. Easy to do in those baseball uniforms.

kevingamin
Quick soprano soloist leads into It Don't Mean a Thing. Percussion is strong out of the gate. Brass has had a couple park and blows already. Love the attitude of this corps. Sopranos just came up and wailed on the front sideline. Mellos now playing on the front hash, midfield. Now, contras are on the right side. Each section is joined by their counter parts in the percussion.
kevingamin
Any spitting or scratching of privates?Butt slaps? OK, not THAT in character. At least, not outside the hotel.
kevingamin
It's shows like this which should tell DCI not to treat their Open Class like a red headed stepchild. Smaller corps can be just as entertaining as their full sized contemporaries.
