INSIDETHEFORTY
WOW! What a challenge! My top 10 favorite endings? How can I pick only 10? After having seen nearly every LIVE DCI Finals performance since 1973 (missed 72 and 81) this is a really tough task! Let me see, my memory is fading a little....... In no particular order..... 1970 Boston Crusaders....Conguest....Goose bump city! 2004 Carolina Crown....Bohemian Rhapsody....It reminded me of Madison in the late '70's.....Radical! 1992 Blue Devils.....When a Man loves a Woman....I had my girlfriend with me in Madison....Sweet night! Thanks, BD! 2007 Carolina Crown....Triple Crown....Incredible!...I nearly fell out of my Skybox! 1975 Santa Clara Vanguard......They had me crying real tears at the end of their closer...A PERFECT 30 GE score! 1976 Bridgmen...One from A Chorus Line...The FAINT at the end of the show was unforgettable! 1976 Madison Scouts...Rhapsody in Blue...If I had been holding a baby.....poor kid! 2008 Phantom Regiment....I was standing, yelling I AM SPARTICUS with the corps....with tears streaming down my face! 2007 Phantom Regiment....My friend and I just turned to each other and shook our heads. It was superlative! More to come! Edited January 10, 2010 by INSIDETHEFORTY

Dr.Mickey
For drill: Cadets, pick your year Like 1997 and 1998 (holy crap), or 2000, or maybe 2009 Phantom 1989 Star 1991 For music: Crown 2009 SCV 1997 Phantom 1996 For the creative playing off the field: BD 1988 For baby throwing excitement: Madison 1988, 1995, 1996 Phantom 2008
CoHmempho04
my list:1.Star 1991 - cross to cross to top off one of the greatest shows ever 2.Phantom 2008 - can't watch it without getting chills (for me these two are far above the rest) 3.Cadets 2000 - so much GE 4.Blue Devils 2006 - the timing and pacing of the design was perfect 5.Carolina Crown 2007 - very emotional 6.Vanguard 1999 - same as above 7.Madison 1988 - just about the most energy I've ever seen from an ending 8.Blue Devils 2003 - listen to the final sustained chord... what a sound!!! 9.Blue Devils 1992 - man loves a woman.... 10.Madison 1997 - DM photo I agree with every one but I might put Crown 08 somewhere in there. Musical_Spinner
I don't know if I could do ten off hand but 98 Cadets really finished that show well, that would be my number 1.

chaddyt
In no particular order by corps: CADETS: '00 - love that the crowd starts to drown out the corps during the ending. '07 - oblique, one-step interval, company front at 200+bpm... and they were playing. '08 - drill, drill, drill. BLUE DEVILS '94 - quintessential "soft ending" that gets me every time '00 - angry and thematic, love the tag CAROLINA CROWN '07 - just an emotional crowd favorite. '09 - "Promise of Living" reprise was a perfect bookend to my favorite show of that year. PHANTOM REGIMENT '08 - obvious reasons '94 - crabbing triangle with the two-step punctuation to "Death Hunt"
bccadet09
Well The Cadets have always had my favorite endings, especially 2000, 2007, and 2009 for different reasons. Here are some others: Madison 1995 Madison 2001 Phantom Regiment 2008 Crown 2008 Santa Clara Vanguard 1989 Santa Clara Vanguard 2009 Blue Devils 2003 That's about it for now.
