vbc33
The Connecticut Hurricanes are pleased to announce their 2010 production, Heaven Sent. This energetic, emotional, and colorful production will feature source material from GLAD, Bernstein, and Rutter. The program will be presented in 5 parts: Part I - Angels in America, Thomas Newman Part II - Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee, GLAD Part III - God Said, Leonard Bernstein Part IV - Before the Throne of God Above, GLAD Part V - Gloria, John Rutter Our talented design team of Michael Klesch (brass arranger), Kevin Murphy (battery arranger), Chris Johnson (front ensemble arranger), Jamey Thompson (visual designer), Philip Traini & John Lemire (colorguard designers) met this past weekend to further coordinate this program and are very excited about the potential for the 2010 edition of the Hurricanes. Program Coordinator Jim Dugan said, “The winter has been an exciting time and the turnouts have been great. We can’t wait to get this production out on the field for everyone to see. It is something that members and fans alike will enjoy!” The Hurricanes are hosting a full corps camp this weekend on Sunday, February 7th from 10-5. The brass and percussion will be rehearsing at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT and the two-time defending Drum Corps Associates World Champion colorguard will be at the Seymour Recreation Center in Seymour, CT. Interest is strong in all sections, but we are still looking for a few talented horn players to help us reach our goal of 50 brass. For more information please visit our website at www.cthurricanes.org. Also, stay tuned for an updated staff announcement in the coming days. James H
This announcement is too good NOT to bump...In my ten years with the corps, this is definitely the most excited I have been for a show. The Hurcs are spring boarding off of the most successful year in its history (without winning a championship) and jumping head first into this production. I loved Cavies in 89 and 90, so this closer will be out of this world. Look out for the Green team this year as they appear to have a higher entity on their side in the DCA ring! Walkin Proud! TomPeashey
Mag 7 is kind of like Cab's Rumps... the fit ANYWHERE as long as you squeeze hard enough... Mike Klesch is a musical genius - he'll figure it out...
