I've gnashed my teeth together, but I've never perfected the art of gnashing my hands. But then, I aged out in the late 1970s. The kids today are so much more versatile.

Horn players gnash their teeth. Drummers gnash their hands.

But I got your point, Mr. Grammar teacher.

Ah; that's my problem.

I was never a drummer; I was a percussionist.

I just saw __________, and they are MUCH better than they were last year at this time.

Ha. Above quote usually followed up with, "corps ______________ will no doubt pick up where they left off, and be even better than last year."

Drum corps camps, like baseball spring training and Opening Day, is a short period of time when every corps is apparently capable of either winning it all, or placing several placements higher than their previous best year.
