zachariaswmb
Scratch that. It would seem that the definition is different from what I was originally told.
JGuy1288
4 freaking pages of this thread, and not a single answer to my question--and no, an answer of "nobody" doesn't count. All because one ignorant person decided to vomit on the thread for no useful reason. Sounds like a Cavaliers kind of piece to me. Also, I dislike it when people speak in absolutes. Also also, does anybody else think that the repeated line toward the end sounds just like that U2 song "Where the Streets Have No Name"? brassmeaway
Also also, does anybody else think that the repeated line toward the end sounds just like that U2 song "Where the Streets Have No Name"? I thought the same thing! Just as the last chord reminds me of the ending in the first movement of Holst's 1st Suite ... anybody else catch that? Paralda
John Mackey is a terrible composer. I disagree.
Michelle
The dude's never even played an instrument. He played piano to pass through Julliard. Though, he joked around at the composition seminar I went to that all he had to play was a Bach Invention.

BRASSO
Of course this leads to the inevitable question: Who does this suit on the field? Mackey's Music could bring inspiration for INT. Edited April 2, 2010 by BRASSO
SpiritOfJSUFan
My self personally love Mackeys Music. it makes me smile and i love listening to it. Aurora Awakes will suit the Blue Devils. You Might even hear it this year on the field

Well I'd sure rather listen to Mackey at INT than Miley Dim-Wit. Edited April 2, 2010 by garfield
