poprocks
However, finishing in 6th or 7th place will hamper future membership in both those catagories. I don't know about that... Even though they got 9th last year, auditions for this season were incredible. There was a larger turnout after 2009 than there was after 2008. People will keep going to Regiment's hornline and percussion because they love what they do, regardless of how good the visual is. That's how most people in Regiment are. Sure, winning is awesome, but let's be honest; most people don't go to Phantom Regiment to win.

euph2008
Agreed on the recent posts... I went to Phantom because I love the passion and intensity in everything they do. The music this year brought tears to my eyes just standing in horn arc playing it. Unfortunately I wound up not being able to march this summer, but just being a part of such an incredible group for a few short months was a highlight of my life... (even after a 9th place finish). Do I want them to win? Of course!! but whether they do or not doesn't decide whether I'm a Phan. I love Phantom for their sheer awesomeness, not how many rings or medals they have. byline
I have to say that Phantom's show is one I've been drawn to watch again and again on the Fan Network. Really lovely! I'm looking forward to seeing them in Erie!
MikeN
Visually, I think the show is rounding into shape. (Whether the judges are giving credit for it or not.) Looking at the Carmel VOD, it seems that forms are tightening up. Sadly, I kept wondering why they added a new mallet part in the quiet intro before realizing it was the next corps warming up next door.
