kevingamin
Back to Mr. Roboto for the closer. Horns really putting out some sound for the end of the show!

kevingamin
I thought I Was a big Styx fan. I never heard this song before. I will be digging my styx out. LOL Shameless plug here - Look for a Styx concert with "The Contemporary Youth Orchestra". This was a concert in Cleveland which featured some of my wife's students. It's really good! kevingamin
are most of these pits so far amped Haven't seen an amped pit yet. And as soon as I type this, Music City shows up with speakers.
kevingamin
Next on the field is Music City from Nashville, Tennessee. Their 2010 program is entitled "River Sounds" and consists of: Down to the River to Pray by Traditional St. Louis Blues by Handy, William C. Can't Help Falling in Love by Creatore, Luigi Mississippi Suite by Grofe, Ferde When the Saints Go Marching In by Stamps, Virgil O. Old Man River (from Showboat) by Kern, Jerome
kevingamin
Nice pre-show opening of Down to the River and Pray. Played backfield with a very lush low brass sound.
kevingamin
And there's our first electronic effect of the night. Sounds of a riverboat bell and water flowing as the pit plays.
kevingamin
Ugh, why do we have narration over an otherwise great show? Great sound from the horns, though!
kevingamin
Loving the St. Louis Blues, especially the groove put down by the tubas. By the way, this is the only other corps I know of besides Cadets who have stripes on their pants.
