perc2100
Man, how is it that Cavies can do mylar drums so well? Remember when they did that in 1995 during the Mars opener? LOVED it in 95! CuriousMe
Bull. Richard Santos was the Garfield Cadets corps director who brought in Michael Cesario and George Zingali (probably with some urging from Don Angelica) These guys didn't just redefine drum corps: they erased it and rewrote it. Hopkins was still stinking up the drumline when everything came together in 1982. He inherited a gold mine and just let it happen. Once he elevated himself as a "program coordinator," this corps hasn't been the same. And yes, I'd say this to his face -- anytime, anywhere. Riiiggghht, he's just been riding that coat tail for...hmm let's do the math....oh for 28 years!!! Really? I'm not trying to diminish the brilliance of Cesario or Zingali....I had the privilege of seeing them both in action.....but you can't see that George Hopkins had any part of the last 28 years? It was all just a "gold mine" that he "just let happen?" In addition to whether it's realistic for someone to just go with it for 28 years, I don't think that Hopkins is capable of letting anything "just happen." For good or ill....he tends to have his hands in what's going on. Not saying that I've agreed with everything he's done....but to say he hasn't done anything.....can't see that at all! Lonnieg1906
Sorry just wanted to say a small prayer:Lord, be with him/her and their family. Please allow this young person to heal quickly and be able to regain full use of the injured leg. Please also be with the corps and help to ease thei minds in this time of concern for their fallen member. Amen. Wes P Amen And thank you for that prayer.
