FHdork
<Shostakovich 4th Symphony, 1st mvt> I used to scoff at this idea...but BD (and DCP...so THERE, Bruckner...you changed my mind!) - have convinced me that Shostakovich's dissonant and sarcastic 4th symphony WILL work for drum corps... But why just the first movement? There's great stuff in the other two! (although I'm admittedly not the biggest fan of the scherzo)

Adrian
A very G7 comment. Some of the most exciting shows of all time have come from corps NOT in the top 5.THE G7 IS DEAD. A look at the top 7 in 2010 BD -Just plain weird. GOOD , but strange Cavies, great guard , music book eehhhhhh. trumpet soloists playing in a mic ???? BC , peaked early again , was more exciting in July than August. octave divided bari soloist killed me. Crown -zzzzzzzzzz Cadets , are you kidding ??? look at me !!! Phantom -Beautiful show , should have been above Cadets . could not see Guard in purple . maybe a good thing. SCV , strange ,1978 , but I liked it. Besides BD and the mirrors NOT very innovative i the top 7. This is where are innovation should lie. kind of safe up here. I liked 8-18 much better. BS, BOSTON , BK , Madison , GMEN , ACADEMY , TROOPERS , COLTS , SPIRIT , CROSSMEN , PC. FIXED
