  1. Blue Knights sing "I Go On" before every performance Pacific Crest plays "Ave Maria" every good once in a while
  2. Blue Knights- "I Go On" from Leonard Bernstein's "Mass" Pacific Crest- Ave Maria
  3. Well for starters, a certain Mr. Ralph Hardimon is writing the drum part.
  4. Thanks a lot for the post Jesse! You shared a precious memory which was from you experienced as a young man. This is nice and I like it!
  5. Of course Jesse! Gabriel is going to be a beast trumpet player. I'm really looking forward to seeing you guys again!

  6. Hmmmmm, I feel like a dope now haha although, Jim Prime's name hasn't appeared on any of my music.
  7. You are correct sir! It's Mr. Bocook all the way.
  8. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Blue-Knights-Drum-Bugle-Corps/22192163025 There you go. Be sure to tune in Wednesday night, May 4th, for the official Blue Knights 2011 program announcement and program video release - 8:00 PM Central / 7:00 PM Mountain
  9. I really think that the Blue Knights are going to bring a lot of nostalgia for the 27th fans
  10. Lemme take a crack at this. 1. Bluecoats- This corps is power hungry and they just march superbly. If anyone is going to knock BD off course, it will be them. 2. Blue Devils- They will not get lower than 2nd guaranteed, although I do see them winning. 3. The Cadets- Their program will push them and as compelling as it is now, there is just so much potential 4. The Cavaliers- Not a big fan of their last two shows, BUT they do offer a great visual/guard/GE year in and year out 5. Carolina Crown-Last year's show did not grab my attention whatsoever but they do march great 6. Santa Clara Vanguard- I am intrigued and excited as to what they're going to do with Devil's Staircase, also the addition of Paul Rennick! 7. Phantom Regiment- I see them dropping due to the loss of Rennick. They still scored 6th even with a championship drumline 8. Blue Stars- Loved Houdini! Great hornline and marching! 9. Blue Knights- Can you say 65% percent veteran retention in the hornline plus 10% from other corps? The major issues from last year were the marching style transition and the huge colorguard that were pretty dirty. Also the addition of Ralph Hardimon! 10. Madison Scouts- Picking up from last year and kicking ### and taking names 11. Boston Crusaders- I see them dropping only because the corps above them are doing so great 12. The Academy- Personally, I think this is their year because they are doing so much better than the Glassmen 13. Glassmen 14. Troopers 15. Crossmen 16. Colts 17. Pacific Crest 18. Spirit 19. Mandarins 20. Teal sound. 21. Cascades 22. Jersey Surf 23. Pioneer
  11. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!!!! *Takes another look* HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!! I do suppose anything is possible, right?
  12. Yeah, we divide our laundry time in thirds. Colorguard gets the morning, percussion the afternoon, and horns the evening. Otherwise it's rehearsal time if yo're not doing laundry.
  13. Yes, Sully is still writing the drill, and so far I've only seen Mr. Bocook's name on the music.
  14. From what I've heard, the design staff will be left unchanged. Also, Jeff Ausdemore is no longer caption head and is being taken over by Paul Webber. Ralph Hardimon was also added on staff as percussion arranger. Glad to hear you're a fan :)
  15. I have been saying it over and over but I will not die peacefully until a corps plays "Salvation is Created".
  16. Speaking from a member's perspective at PC, it was a little irksome not having the full tour. At the beginning of the season the going to shows was a bit of a pain. Many of the show sites we would carpool also with the everyday rehearsals. Being from out of town we had to figure out our own housing situation. Luckily the friends I made there were absoloutely fantastic people and I housed with a fellow member FREE OF CHARGE (God bless his mother ). Though it was annoying having to commute to every rehearsal site rather than housing at the school (if we were able to house at the school I'm sure we would've stayed there) day after day. We would usually get to a late start, people would get lost to practice sites so they ended up being late and miss some time, it was a mess. But at the end of last season we were given surveys to take with questions such as : How can our practices be more efficient, How many hours are you willing to put down towards a rehearsal, etc.. So the staff at PC are doing great things to improve which is great. But it does provide some time for others to get caught up on school, work, amongst others things so it all works out for them rather than touring full time. Their schedule is a bit more full this season.
  17. I don't know if your corps director went over this with you guys, but it would be highly preferable if you had gel deodorant rather than the other kind.
  18. Whenever I listen to SCV, I feel like I'm preparing for war or something. I dunno that could be me. BK is slowly peeling away from their dark sounds. PR historically is drum corps' classical music identity/ Cavies are the Cavies Bluecoats are a little eccentric in their music. Maybe because really spontaneous on wgat they choose to settle on.
