LegalEagle50
Opps, I forgot to add "except guard". And of course we're not including subcaptions. As I said, Reading has a few second place ordinals. Perhaps we can agree, that is has been quite the impressive season once again for the Bucs. Can they go into the championships and lose? Perhaps. But does anyone really think there is a better corps in DCA at the moment? You can't give it up and say anything but BUCS BUCS BUCS. You may be the most biased person on here aside from Tom Allen. BigW
you'd be surprised at the resumes of some of the judges. Just because they were with a lower placing corps doesn't mean they aren't qualified. Bingo. I'd think a member of this year's 11th place Blue Knights or non-finalist Academy in DCI might know a thing of three and have learned a fair amount. They have pretty good staff members. Heck, I know for fact a guy like Donny knows his stuff and produces fine product. I could care less where Pioneer placed, I'm certain those kids have a good education and understanding of what it takes to create quality and an appreciation for it. The right person from Pioneer could certainly become a fine judge in the activity if they wanted to do it and learn the skills. Sometimes you're just not as fortunate as another guy to have been at the right place at the right time or had the bucks in your pocket. Drumbo
Sayer............Conversely A corp that might be mediocre with a great drum line still has a chance

JoeDz
As one who has followed the success of the Hawthorne Cabs since 1956, I say that if the Bucs continue to perform head and shoulders above the competition, they keep on winning. Likewise, if someone knocks off the King, well then, "Long Live the King." No one should get tired of seeing excellence win......no matter how long the streak. Joe when the cabs were doing it we all stepped up our game. we may have tired of it but it made us try harder. i think it brought DCA up a couple notches. skeptic
According to th recaps Reading has lost CG once, GE once, a sub caption in perc 2 times, brass once, and field vis once but never lost a caption 2 shows in a row. Now what about every other Drum Corps? With that aside, we have no clue whats going to happen until Saturday and Sunday. Each show has its own dynamics! Kind of useless for DCP to try guess what is going to happen. Fun yes but really doesn't mean anything. Let the Corps perform, Let the judges judge and the audience to sit back and watch a great weekend of Drum Corps! Best of luck to all! Well im sure mbi has won everything in every caption all year except jamestown, which i believe was split about 50/50 for captions with empire. but then again they are in a league of their own out west. Joe I dont think people have a problem with them winning (because they deserve to) i just think people would like to see someone else on top.
