AlexL Posted October 25, 2010 Share Posted October 25, 2010 Can I just say, to be serious for a second, I'm a member on a lot of forums related to sports teams, businesses, etc. and insiders on them have no problems revealing their "in-the-know" info. Here, however... I'll second that. Its relatively easy to get inside information about big 12 teams (the part of college sports i follow most), and there are plenty of insiders that'll share what they know, but on here... not so much. (The post and no real info). If you know something, say it. If you can't say it, don't post that you know something. It's just wrong for both Academy and the folks here on DCP. Just MHO. The mods will close a corps information thread based on rumor and only let a thread get off the ground when there are some straight facts to back it up, but a thread about a rumor springs to life when it doen's actually specify the rumor. Dmlkmen Posted October 25, 2010 Share Posted October 25, 2010 Had a great meeting yesterday with Mark Richardson to talk about a joint venture with the Academy for the use of our facilities for their camps prior to the start of the competitive season. I hope to have this worked out within the next couple of weeks.During our conversations we talked about some of the changes within the organization and their impact competitively. I've always thought that Mark and the Academy leadership have done a great job helping the corp Mature and I believe their up coming announcements will take them into the top 12. Or as Mark says "In theory, that's how it's suppose to work." Not wanting to reveal the details all I can say is I'm excited for the kids... Here's what we know... Freddie and Mike Martin are on board and will be at the up coming camps. Murray Gusseck will be heading up the percussion. Can anyone guess what's coming down the pipe? Not going to guess. Will wait for official announcement. But a question on the joint facilities thing. Unless I am reading this wrong, is it a joint venture to have a northern corps come to Phoenix during the winter and use Academy's facilities- or the opposite?
