AZFan
My feelings towards them are like my feelings towards marching frenchies. Are the necessary? No. Does it make it that much better? Yes. Do i wish more corps marched them? Hell Yeah.
3rd Glasgow BB
Not needed anymore but look great.
Sam98
I think they are necessary from a musical and visual standpoint--a drum line just ain't a drum line without cymbals.
bawker
Preferred. Not the same without 'em.
luvs me sum mello!
Keep them in the pit. Flashy cymbal line moves were cool when that's all we had for "GE".
chadwick
Wish more corps had them. I don't pay that much attention to the drum line but with the corps that do march plates, I noticed the plates a lot.
DrillmanSop06
Since WGI lines field cymbals many times, the more places for those individuals to march during the summer months, the better. :)
glory
When they're great they're great. Unfortunately, most of the time in the faster-moving modern idiom they seem out of place with the battery. What I think some corps should do some times is send four from the pit on the field with the plates for the one moment with the music/visual is perfect for the marching cymbals. Otherwise, not missed. HH
ggab704
Since WGI lines field cymbals many times, the more places for those individuals to march during the summer months, the better. :) This is exactly what i was getting at. With WGI making cymbals such an important part of the activity and Corps cutting their lines season by season, we are finding it harder to march what we have come to love summer after summer. I don't think cymbal lines should just be limited to something just in the winter.
