ggab704
Cymbals should stay where they belong...in the pit. That is all. Boring. That is all.

camel lips
I think they are necessary from a musical and visual standpoint--a drum line just ain't a drum line without cymbals. Ditto
InspaDave
Cymbals should stay where they belong...in the pit. That is all. I find your statement a little funny. It was before your time, but the Cadets used to have the best cymbal line out there. I am not talking the visual flair of Santa Clara. The Cadet lines of the 80s showed how much cymbals can add to a show musically.

Yeah that may be true, but honestly I've never been a fan of cymbal lines. No disrespect to them, but I figure since we have the pit, they're better serving their purpose (although I have to say I have a lot of respect for SCV's cymbal line because they look ###### doing what they do). Boring. That is all. That's usually how I feel about most of the cymbal lines currently out there (except SCVs). NR_Ohiobando
Just as long as we're on this subject; Madison's cymbal line did NOT crabstep 2002-back to whenever. When they brought it back from 08-09 they had them crabstepping. Any thoughts or preferences? (My preference is NO crabstepping in the cymbals, it just looks better to me)

I can't agree with that, while SCV is doing the stock visuals, other lines are coming up with innovative ideas.
