Kyoti
There are lots of new names and some old names back in the mix. If you have info on any of the corps on the list....Open Class or Class A.....going to Rochester or not.....competitive corps or parade corps this year....show title/rep for the season,....etc, etc. I think many people would appreciate this. I'll try to update the original post as stuff comes in. So here goes.....Let me know if I've missed anyone.... Alliance – Open Class Arkansas Thunder - Class A Brigadiers Buccaneers – Open Class Bushwackers – Open Class Caballeros – Open Class Carolina Gold Chops, Inc. - Class A Cincinnati Tradition CorspVets – Open Class Empire Statesmen – Open Class Excelsior Frontier Fusion Core Govenaires - Class A Grenadiers Gulf Coast Sound High Country Brass Hurricanes – Open Class Kilties – Open Class Minnesota Brass – Open Class Music City Legend Renegades – Open Class 6th Street Regiment Skyliners Sunrisers Shenandoah Sound SoCal Dream Sun Devils Tampa Bay Thunder Vigilantes White Sabres Windsor Regiment - Class A Edited November 24, 2010 by Kyoti
ajlisko
Conquistadors from Upstate NY ... Thunder from FL? ... also, someone from Kidsgrove said they're not attending DCA in 2011 ... :-) There are lots of new names and some old names back in the mix. That is of course unless someone has the numbers to move up to open class from Class A. I would really hate to see some Class A corps with Class A ish size numbers step into open class when they are really better suited for the class A venue. Seems like a good time to open the discussion up again to top 5 at finals?
GoldMonster
With Kidsgrove not coming back, it makes it 10 in Open class. Alliance Bucs Bush Cabs CV Empire Hurcs Kilties MBI Renegades Unless I missed someone folding (as I shudder). I REALLY hope that all the corps above are coming out....plus a few more in Open! D. Yeah. Wow. I didn't realize it before seeing this list- but there are possibly 16 corps for Class A next year- if no one moves up? With the current format of 4 spots for the Sunday show.... Man, what a dogfight.

I must have mis counted the list originally. Not going to be much of a surprise of who the top 10 is going to be this year then,,which is why I am suggesting top 5 for finals? LegalEagle50
Aren't Brigs coming out for 2011? Thought I saw that on their website....
camel lips
Aren't Brigs coming out for 2011? Thought I saw that on their website.... "After a brief hiatus, the Brigadiers are working hard to return the corps to field competition in 2011! It is our goal to return this storied corps back to competition and among the elite of DCA!!! In recognition of our history, it is our responsibility to ensure the continued success of this corps and will need a lot of help to get there! Please stay tuned for information regarding the first rehearsal of the 2011 season and how you can help!" Sounds to me like they are "working on it" but its anybody's guess if they can field a open class corps much less a competitive one at this point. But if anyone can do it Brigs can because they have been there before.
