In all my years around senior (all age) drum corps, no one had more songs than the Sunrisers..........

Several of them not for publication.

OK.... most of them. :tongue:

OK.. Sun vs Westshore sing off at the Forum..... :devil:

I'll start by singing the two Westshore had for the Lancers (as I wrote one of the verses). :tongue:

But think I'd better get out of my green uni first. :cool:

I've sung a few for Kris and her look is usually --> :blink:

I seem to remember in the late 80's and early 90's there being a fierce rivalry between Westshore and Steel City. It even got to the point where both corps would wait at the exit gate as the other corps left the field and cheer each other on.

Another one in the late 80's was with Steel City and the Guelph Royalaires. This bruhaha was settled at the hotel parking lot that the two corps shared by having a cooler jumping contest. I think the winner was Howard "Be Thy Name" Williams with a record setting 4 stack of coolers.

I remember retreat in 89 when Steel and Cru tied....to those a little further away, when we saw both corps heading towards each other, we expected a war and got super corps!

Jeff is right Jim.....you REALLY don't want to go there.

If Jeff thinks Sun can win based on only SOME of the songs he has heard, well...that should give you some idea.

You REALLY don;t want to open up that can......TRUST ME!

Well definitely a NON-public event. :ph34r::tongue:

Seriously, today I am embarassed by some of the things that left my lips back then. But I do find it interesting what some of the corps sang about each other. When I went south to Hanover I was hoping to hear some songs they sang about Westshore. To my chagrin.... they didn't have any. :doh:

And that doesn't even begin to scratch the surface!

There has to be at least 1 song for every DCA corps....

Then there are songs about members in their own corps!

Then and ONLY then, will the can be opened!
