I just looked at the recaps and u are right.

Noteworthy that Alliane guard was in 3rd place at the Atlanta show only 10 points above the 4th place corps SS.

If Alliance ever expects to crack into the top 5 they are going to have fix this area.

Edit to add the current guard scores for 2011 Hope I did not miss anyone.

Interesting that Minnesota is so close to the Hurricanes in guard. One of my many criticisms of MBI has to do with the (past) over writing of guard work. MBI tends to write at a WGI World Class level. This is not necessary (right now!) for DCA. Cleanliness is paramount right now. Not difficulty. If Minnesota continues to clean their guard, they are right in line for the guard trophy.

Gauging off of this, it looks like Bucs are the only one in the top 5 to gain less than a point from the show before... so if we want to take that same trend for this week, that would put them at an 89.15.... just an observation

They averaged a 1.6 gain per week last season. The average this season is 1.8 gain per week. I expect them to put up a 92 or better this weekend.

anyone know what Bucs penalty was for?

from what I've heard its for going over time ( not sure if it was over performance time of 12 minutes, or over total time of 15 to get on, perform, and off )

It was for time, but I don't know if it was specific to show or getting on or off.

Actually.... I have no idea what the penalty was for.... but it's 17 minutes that they may have gone over... there is no 15 minute time that I know of... as soon as the first member of the corps proper steps on the field, the 17 minute clock starts. They have 17 minutes to warm up/do pre-show perform their show and get the corps proper off the field.
