Diceman
What corps have been named for physical structures - like the Bridgemen for the Bayonne Bridge, or the Bushwackers for the bar with the same name?

DPEmerald
Was or is there a Blue Rock? I know there is a Devil Dog so that's one to add.
Northern Thunder
I thought of Blue Rock too, thinking maybe it was like Plymouth Rock, but a search said Blue Rock is kind of like a quarry that sits underneath Wilmington, DE. So I guess it's an "unseen" structure of sorts.

Puppet
What corps have been named for physical structures - like the Bridgemen for the Bayonne Bridge, or the Bushwackers for the bar with the same name? So this causes me to wonder whether all the Catholic sponsored corps (St. fill in-the-blank) were named for the actual Saint or did they actually represent the church the building? 'Cause if so, now you've got a real list! Ruling, please. Puppet - with a couple of candidates for the list in my signature.
DAvery
The original name for Spirit of Atlanta was The Concourse.
drumno5
Was or is there a Blue Rock? I think the corps' American Legion Post/Sponsor was the Blue Rock post. It seems to be a commonly adopted nickname in and around Wilmington DE: http://www.delminsociety.net/motm/motm_nov2006.shtml Edited June 25, 2011 by drumno5
tommytimp
Blue Devils. Westshoremen. It's a little known fact that Santa Clara Vanguard is actually named after a moving van. UPDATE: SCV was actually named for the security guy at the van company. Never mind.
