Corps starts off in groups of tight circle formations, most with a guard member in the middle. Snare circle bursts open to allow the opening tuba soloist. Remaining circles open and the guard members appear carrying newspapers.

Love the variation on last year's opening moves. Great tie in while introducing this years' show.

Snares now up front, followed by tenors, then basses. Guard on rifles and newspapers.

How often do you get to write that?

Hard to write about this show because I keep getting drawn in. Great horn sound!

A lot of echo from this horn line, too. Great projection and tuning.

Not sure why the guys in the suite with me feel the need to have a conversation throughout this show. Can't complain, though, since they're drivers and work their tails off.
