Akron - Innovations in Brass 7/7/2011

Nice tight closing formation for the end of Rue Plumet.

Also love that they go right into the 1812 chorale/On My Own. Keeps the momentum of the show up.

LOVE the sound of the horn line from the right side of the field as they finish On My Own. Great effect.

Double rotating company front by the horns during the drum solo is dirty, but still very effective.

Now, the rotating blocks while marching across the field is even more impressive from up here.

I still hear silly synth effects in the pit, but I think they got rid of the Star Trek phaser sounds I heard at the first show.

Bari soloist in Bring Him Home is just killer. LOVE his sound.

Interesting effect with the white sheet. It's being pulled over the front brass quartet and soloist. A few corps members lie on the ends. Check my Twitter and Facebook accounts for the picture in a minute to see what I'm talking about.

Upper brass needs to be careful playing backfield at the start of the closer. They're behind the horns facing front.

Great company front moving diagonally across the field while belting the 1812 hit!
