NashvillePat Posted August 11, 2011 Share Posted August 11, 2011 7th Regiment preshow is a pit version of Africa by Toto... the rest of the show is mostly Radiohead, plus Take Five. Interesting. The brass ensemble sounded great on Creep, which amounted to a brass feature. I wish they were playing more. Feels like at least half the show they have their horns down. Lots of synth, lots of battery and pit features. Paranoid Android works pretty well as a drum corps tune. Not sure about Everything in its Right Place. Overall they're impressive, but I'm surprised they placed over Music City and Yokohama. Sure that wasn't Radiohead 5 Step? I wrote that before watching the show taking it from the CorpsReps page. There's definitely some pretty straight Take Five in there, though. I'm not familiar with the Radiohead version. Yeah, I'm impressed how close that gap remained for all the scores. It will definitely be interesting to see where the judges start Pioneer and Jersey Surf.
