hsreed
Key left SCV for personal reasons. SCV moved forward and hired JD Shaw. Key is simply arranging Glassmen's show, seems less involved with Glassmen than he was with SCV. Give Key room as it seems he needs it.
Big Bad Bari
Key was in my baritone section back in 1983... Best #### 3rd baritone I ever met! I didn't understand why he wanted to play that part until I learned he had become an arranger. It all made sense to me after that. They guy was the exact same fun loving, engaged and interested guy he is now! So as far as Key being disengenuous... I do not think he has it in him!

Crown Phan
This seems to be a great move for the Glassmen as a corps that needs some kind of spark.

YogiBear
I would rather have seen some new talent or some Glassmen alumni talent entering the pool at this stage. New blood can be horrifying ... or incredible. And new blood is what I think DCI is really missing these days. It's great that the same ppl who have had success are moving around to other organizations ...... but I'd rather hear something new from someone new. Kinda like what the cavaliers did in 2002? The cavaliers tried a new approach to dci, but after about 4 years, people got tired of hearing it and constantly complained that it was "not drum corps sound". Drum corps went one direction after that. Maybe a different voice could send it in another direction. I'm not sure that Gmen have the same clout at this time as Cavies have had for over 60 years ..... but it could propel them back to the top 5 and have great influence. I'm sure Key will help them make that move so please don't take anything I've said as a slam against his talents. I'm just a firm believer that we won't find the next Zingali/Downey/Wren/Brubaker ...... unless some new blood gets their shot in primetime territory.
