Now or Never from 1990 is probably one of my favorite DCI moments... yes... it is one big moment. Awesomeness.

'97 Crossmen " Colors of Jazz ".

Entertaining as all heck in my opinion... and also their highest score ever at DCI Finals ( 93.00 )

What he said. It's still in my "all-time" playlist, even after 20 years.

If it wasn't for learning about this show, I would have never known of New York Voices... and my quality of life would be a whole lot lower.

My soprano player is showing. . .

1981. . . jazz. . . screaming. . . awesome!

Favorite one to arrange?

2002. . . though I have this feeling that 2012 is going to replace that vote shortly.

Wow! I can't wait to see what is in store for Bones in 2012!

For those who've never heard the originals from New York Voices, the '90 show all comes from the same album -

http://www.amazon.co...20353909&sr=8-4

Well worth a purchase if you're a fan at all of vocal jazz.

Mike

and check out the drum solo in Caravan and compare it to the original. incredible arranging

Very proud to be in that corps in that year. I believe the drummer was a member of the Bridgemen and they also came to one of our shows, I forget which one maybe someone else can chime in and help. A great album Mike.

Tommy Igoe. He was featured in the 1997 PBS broadcast along with Al Chez, Pete Bond, and Jeff Kievett(spelling?) as some drum corps alumni who made it as professional performers.
