Gary Matczak
Thinking near the State Police Barracks either on Herr Street or just off of Herr. Ugh... will have to ask Kris as her folks used to eat there. Want to think Dodge City but either I have the wrong name or the place moved. yep, Herr area sounds right,......you are on it,.........but I don't think Dodge City is quite it,.........I do know it's a pretty fancy schmancy place............. JimF-LowBari
Found it,..........Maverick Steakhouse,............seems that it is closed,....... Thought it had a "wild West" theme name.... but then again what Steak House doesn't.... Can't remember why it closed, or even if there was any warning. Jeff Ream
Update: thanks to Lancers corps management and email I've been told that Reading Buccaneers Alumni have recently been added to Profiles In Music. And thanks to Westshoremen Alumni for a link to the show flyer: (now I'll owe a lot of "blue" people a drinkable for using their link). Whole lotta info in the link that I didn't have (bought my tickets without using the flyer ). http://www.westshore...nMusicFlier.pdf uh, Jim....that's a lot of beer you'll owe us, especially since we rehearse 4 stop signs and a traffic light away from you and you don't stop in

Fran Haring
Jim, Is "he who shall not be named" doing the announcing? If the aforementioned "not to be named" person is me, then... no. But if it's some other "not to be named" person, then you'll have to ask that other not-to-be-named person. Whoever that person is. JimF-LowBari
No idea on the announcer.... LOL and to think I drove the "whole" way (40 miles) to Hanover and didn't think to ask. Well, I went down to turn in my stuff for remainder of 2012 and crossing my fingers for 2013. Just don't feel right having other peoples "stuff" if I don't need it. Even if the other "people" is a Drum Corps. Oh well.... I kept the music and has some horns to practice with. You guys are talking about Larry Hershman (and his tux) right? Edited February 27, 2012 by JimF-LowBari
joefanalum
I'm glad the show will go on thanks to Hanover Lancers. I've been going to Sernade In Brass for years in Harrisburg. Now it's in my home town. I don't have to drive far at all. See you all in April!!! I was a regular at SIB show… Got know Harrisburg pretty well… A few questions about York and the show... Are the seats reserved or are they general admission….. Is it an auditorium with a stage or will it be a gym….. How far is the Yorktowne hotel to the school…. Is there a hotel where most of the corps are staying… Any good restaurants in walking distance from the hotel.. Also a good restaurant that serves later on Saturday night after the show…. Is there going to an after show party any place.. Thanks Pete
