general_tsos_chicken2
the big drum break is definitely gwaltney/MCM-esque!
snaredude08
Those corps are not Phantom Regiment... Oh, duh, Phantom Regiment's, not every corps in general's first. You are correct.
chaos001
the big drum break is definitely gwaltney/MCM-esque! I thought it sounded a lot like Mantra, which is a very good thing.
chaos001
I beleive that for Phantom Regiment, you are correct. Great young lady! ...just a short funny story. When we finished as much as we could in the sewing room of this camp, we sent a message to the drum director to send a few of the big husky base drum guys in to help us move some packed boxes into one of our vans. Who was the only one who came to help us? This young lady. Got to talk to her a bit as we loaded the boxes. She is focused and in control for this season....and she is STRONG! ...never did see any of the big husky guys, but can bet that when they loaded the trucks just before leaving yesterday she got them out there and working up a sweat! In my personal biased opinion, at this point in the season, the snare line steals the show! Can't wait to see how they progress this year. She is a beast! She also has those boys in the drumline whipped!
Robine
What does the guard costume beneath that red coat look like .... Well since it was only a dress rehearsal, the one guard member who's coat popped open during the performance was wearing a "Turandot" tank top that all the "Phantomettes" have been wearing to parades this year. There was a buzz about a possible costume change going on, but we didn't see it. At one point the girls all let down their hair, which is quite dramatic. We'll have to wait and see if anything changes as the season goes on.

chaos001
important question... where the heck are robert cawthornes videos and the member journal?! No ####! He needs to lay off the weddings and give us some drum corps, ######! He was in town for dress rehearsal, so there should be one soon. Or else! Fan Mom
She is a beast! She also has those boys in the drumline whipped! At one point during the Rockford Concert in the Park, the snares got a little too rambunctious during one of Sam Pilafian's solos, and she quickly snapped her sticks out to either side to hush the boys up without missing a beat. I believe it's appropriate that her college major is Wildlife Management.
Corpsgasm
Quick question (which might be discussed in this thread but don't have the time to find it): What does the image on PR's new uniforms symbolize? It obviously looks asian which would make sense for Turnandot but does anybody know the actual meaning? Thanks.
