CrownBariDad
My dad and I are flying out to NC from California on Saturday and I have 2 questions: 2. Where would locals eat real NC BBQ? THANKS in advance! -Kevin If you make it to Greensboro, it HAS to be Stamey's. http://www.stameys.com/ Make sure you get the cole slaw WITH the BBQ sauce added. I'm drooling already just thinking about it!

Kevin.
If drink selection is important to you, I would recommend the Flying Saucer

skywhopper
2. Where would locals eat real NC BBQ? Eastern NC style or western NC style?? Where exactly are you flying in to? If Lexington, NC is on your way (or not too far out of it), you can't hardly go wrong in that town, which basically defines western-style NC BBQ. And be sure to get some hush-puppies!

ashevillemurphy
I like how the "powers that be" use guard members from previous years in prominent roles in successive years ... well done ... to me it adds a certain "memory punch" to the whole show (whatever that means) ... Now that I've seen the new opener flags up close ... I miss the "C pentagon" show logo ... Edited July 27, 2012 by ashevillemurphy
