Bad: Yamato, for setting up their horn arc about fifteen feet from ours, facing us, for warmups. At 13 horns, they still outnumbered us more than 2 to 1. Very considerate; thanks. Good: Yamato, for forcing our hornline to play with increased concentration, musicality, and sensitivity by setting up their horn arc about fifteen feet away from ours, facing us, for warmups. It may have accounted for our highest brass score of the season thus far. Very considerate; thanks. Ugly: The field. Ugly: The school. Ugly: No 7-11 within a couple miles of the school. Impulsivedad Posted July 15, 2003 Share Posted July 15, 2003 This venue was ugly. The entrance and exit were the same and so narrow 2 had difficulty getting thtu at the same time. The hollowcore aluminum seats radiated heat upward and in the heat of the day, ouch. Too much dirt, no doors on the restroom stalls, no flush mechanism on the urinals, AND they wrote an X on my hand with a Highlighter - a highlighter, as a return proof. Couldn't even purchase a stamp ($5.5) - do you know how long that mark lasts on a hand in this heat. They were either totally unprepared for this venue or didn't care, but either way with the other comments I see above from the performers I don't think I will ever attend at this venue again, too bad too cuz the show was good.
