BariDude
It is my understanding that John Williams won't let corps play his music. Is this the case? And if so, why?
contrajedi8
John Williams is doing us all a favor by not letting corps play his "music".
Popular Post mobrien
Because he's afraid of all the other composers' families whose work he's borrowed over the years coming to him for a cut. Imagine the lines...

TubaJon
Its not John William's call anymore. To my knowledge 21st Century Fox owns the copyrights to all of his stuff. A lot of the arrangements that you still hear were arrangements either made before Williams sold his soul, or I do believe they have comissioned him to make some arrangements. But as far as allowing a corps arranger getting ahold of anything and chipchoping it up and such, they would never let it happen.
Kamarag
There are some Williams works you can get the rights to. It all depends on which publishing company owns them. It's not really his call on most stuff.
