  1. Cinemark 10Pittsburgh MIlls Mall I hope its not too empty. Last time I went in a theater in Delaware, and the crowd was great.
  2. Every year it looks like its going to rain at Allentown and it never does (at least enough to cancel anything). Don't worry the show will go on. I'm sad I don't get to go this year! Stupid work!
  3. Definitely BD 2012 and 2010 in particular but I'm more fond of the 2012 program as it was slightly more musical.
  4. DCI should just remove every drum corps video on youtube. That will go over well for every corps & their activity. They should totally do that, everyone will love them and go to more shows. [/sarcasm]
  5. Well what happened to the package thats just on demand stuff? I just want to watch old shows.
  6. Does anyone know if the live package will go down in price after more webcasts have happened? Or is it going to stay at 70 bucks until august?
  7. That is very funny. Probably kinda mean, but very funny.
  8. I voted for 1989 but wouldn't mind seeing 2011 win.
  9. This is a good thread. We should keep this bumped Looks like I voted in the majority for all 3 eras.
  10. You know, DCI may be artsy, but its not too far. I don't think it can go any further than it has really, like I don't think its possible. Consider the following, do you really think its possible to do a show based off of takashi murakami's ideas? I don't think its possible...
  11. Shows that would be perfect for certain corps. Blue Devils: "Music is The Best" - A Frank Zappa Suite Blessed Relief Cruisin For Burgers Peaches En Regalia The Grand Wazoo Imaginary Diseases Village of The Sun Echidna's Arf (Of You) Do You Ever Wash That Thing? Be-Bop Tango Packard Goose Rollo - Frank Zappa New Brown Clouds (From Greggary Peccary) - Frank Zappa It would be fun to see all that source material crammed into one show (someone came up with this one before I can't take credit) Santa Clara Vanguard - "V for Vanguard" Music from V for Vendetta 1812 Overture Bluecoats "Protectors of Earth" Unstoppable - E.S. Posthumous This is Our Land - Epic Score Heart of Courage - Two Steps from Hell Moving Mountains - Two Steps from Hell Protectors of Earth - Two Steps from Hell
  12. You can still watch it on the fan network while its still up actually...
  13. You know, its not the electronics that are the problem, its the context in which they are used. Like look at Bluecoats 2010, that show really knew how to utilize electronic sounds and it came off as really cool and interesting. Fastforward to this year, I clearly remember audible groans when the word "afraid" was blasted into our ears.
  14. I figured between silly predictions, bickering of who should've won who didn't, that we should have a nice laid back ranking thread to kick off the off-season. So, the idea is to rank your favorite years of all time, just for fun! Its always interesting to see who ranks what years higher than others. Feel free to add why you rank certain years higher than others. Heres mine: 1. 1989 2. 2011 3. 2008 4. 2000 5. 1993 6. 1991 7. 2007 8. 1996 9. 1987 10. 1992 Cheers.
  15. It didn't say the connection to the audience had to be positive or negative, it just had to be there.
  16. I think I already have a favorite show.
  17. I can't believe people are going to associate Andy Warhol with dubstep now..
  18. Hmm that would've been interesting to see. I'm sad I missed this...
  19. Don't they refer to the euphoniums as "Buicks" or am I mixing that up with another corps?
