Grandpa
Do you rest the kids - light practice schedule - conserve energy for tonight? Or do you see there is an opportunity and pound it hard today?
jwillis35
Never go so far out of the normal that the performers are put in an uncomfortable situation. Keep things somewhat stable and consistent. Sleep in (since performing time is later), stretching, marching, lunch. Then music sectional, full ensemble, dinner. Nap. Then shower, dress, load trucks, busses, depart for site. Arrive, pre-talk, warm-ups, final talk (fire them up), gate, take field, and let it ride. That's what I would do. That and Diet Mtn. Dew for all 30 minutes before the show. :-)

We worked pretty hard up until the last day of finals. You all know the outcome. Things (IMO) did not sync up the way they did semifinals night that year. And we all felt completely weird coming off the field.

DCImonkey
Crown has nothing to lose. They are pretty much a lock for 2nd. They've pretty much locked up the Jim Ott. I'd just go out there balls out and FORCE the judges to write down a number. I cannot wait to see this performance when the DVD/BluRays come out
