ashevillemurphy
wouldn't it be nice to not have a show "title" ... surely the fans are smart enough to "get it" without one ... no pre-conceived notions based on title. Crocker would just announce "Performing their 2013 production DCI is proud to present Carolina Crown" ... or "From Fort Mill South Carolina DCI is proud to present Carolina Crown"

ashevillemurphy
The Cadets "already did" Les Mis too, but Vanguard is doing it again ... in the old days, very few (if any) had an actual show title ... 27th Lancers did the same show 2 years in a row (SCV did "Phantom" for 2 years and won with it the second time, and '88 was their first "titled show") others used some compositions over and over ... Madison continues to "replay" previous music (different arrangements) ... (You'll never walk alone is - or was - their "song" ... Do we really want to hear Spirit play "Georgia" as the opening "set piece" every year ... well maybe! BD's first show with a title was in '90 - "Tommy" ... Cadets in '87 ... Cavies in '85 and then no title (or theme) for 4 years ... Bloo's first in '92 Regiments first "titled" show was ... Spartacus in '81 (and again in '82) ... elmhurstmusiced
Cadets first named shows were 71 (America, the Brave) and 72 (No More War). Madison's 1971 show was also Alice in Wonderland, and 1972 was either American Stories or American History.
Quad Aces
I was already aware of that, thank you. Geez, lighten up Francis! No offense meant - you only went so far back as 2010, so I thought I would go back a little further, that's all.
