KeithHall
Lowest score ever achieved at US Open....corps, year and score? This corps went from top 12 at DCI Championships to 42nd place?
KeyzerSozee
The lowest score ever at US Open would probably be the Marion Cadet Jets in 1976 scoring a 7.05 in Class A prelims. They of course did not ever make DCI top 12, but that would be my guess for lowest score ever at US Open.

Michael Boo
How can someone get a red negative for a trivia question? Oh boy!!! ... It's a tough room. Argonne Rebels took 42nd place at both the 1977 and 1978 DCI World Championships. Edited to correct the transposed digits in "1978" and to wonder aloud how the mere statement of a statistical fact qualifies for a red negative. But, hey...spring is around the corner. BRASSO
By the way...Marion cadet Jets id score a 7. Geez....this was during the period when DCI judges utlized the " tic system ". Did the judges have to use 2 pencils or 3 to the nub with this Corps. There is no Mercy Rule in DCI when you are rolling out a total score of 7 for a Corps in competition. Yikes.

bluecoats88
We did a show in 1987 around the 4th of july in a suburb of chicago and we outscored the other corps at the show combined. I know Geneseo Knights and New Day were there, maybe marquis and not sure of the other corps.

Our first show back after almost 2 years off scored a 37 at a DCA show in 1974. We knew the first half of the drill pretty well but learned the second half within the last 2-3 weeks and worked on the last minute or two the afternoon of the show.... :shutup:/> Legend has it the execution judges used the standard spacing between tics during the first half of the show but ran out of space for the second half. IOW - we would have scored lower if the judges had squeezed the first half marks together more. Think the line was "the sheets started out grey then just turned to BLACK..." (with tic marks). MikeD
I did zero out one corps when I was judging in the Garden State Circuit on Drumming Execution. I always felt bad about that...to this day, as I still remember doing it!
