skywhopper
Imagine that but with the evil queen look, flying around the field in a fury, chasing Xena. Edited July 30, 2013 by skywhopper
somerville
The funniest part of the evil queen is when it slowly squats down behind the little back drop. It looked like she was about to relieve herself on the field.
Lincoln
How does the person driving that thing see where they are going?
chaos001
How does the person driving that thing see where they are going? Muscle memory? Who knows! I guess someone will have to ask him. I suggest Dan Potter on an episode of FieldPass.

newdaddy
My money is on the queen turning into a dragon at Allentown. No insider information - just my guess.
year1buick
Here's the death toll since 2008: 2008 - Spartacus, Phrygia (sp?) and that one guard member in the opening sword fight where every one yelled "DIE!" 2009 - no one died 2010 - The entire corps died (that's how they got into the light) 2011 - Romeo and Juliet 2012 - The initial suitor during the opener 2013 - The Evil Queen We killed off all the guard in 92. (But they recovered quickly.)
skevinp
. Just a thought here. Where the black square thing is, they could instead have a considerably larger backdrop of some foreboding abode like a gothic mansion or castle, with a window that is kind of frosty translucent material. Then at the appropriate time we could see the silhouette of the evil queen, played by an appropriately attired individual, appear in the window and move in a way to convey her conjuring and whatnot. Then later, the heroine could run behind the structure, we see both their silhouettes fight with each other, the queen defeated and the heroine return to the field triumphant. Anyway, just a thought.
Musicman1084
This has been done in the high school world: LD Bell High School 2012 And also Broken Arrow High School: They had a ton of them on the field, and the final part of the show was the dress expanding about 30 yards and the entire band on the dress (actually a cool visual effect). Also, Tarpon Springs Band (the white circle): and: So in summation, regardless of activity (drum corps vs. marching band) this idea has been done ad nauseam and is not all that original.
