BRASSO
" Battle Hymn of the Republic ".. Troopers closer this year I'm fortunate to have access to Fan Network with the Semi Finals performance of the Troopers. I listened to their Semi Finals performance today for the first time, as I was out when they went on live... I can see why they came within a tenth of a point of making Finals ( and less than a point out of 11th) with their electrfying Semi Finals performance. Along with Boston's inspired Finals Performance, the Troopers Semi Finals performance were the two that came to mind over the last couple of days that really kicked it up a notch from their Corps respective Quarters performances. Troopers slower arrangement of " Battle Hymn of the Republic " was a nice touch for this iconic ballad, I thought. Now there is nothing left to add. :tongue:/> I did like the ballad from from Bluecoats 2012, not sure what the name was. Fantastic. And if you don't mind going back into the last century, Cadets 1983 "Simple Song," from Mass was incredible when heard live. And Cadets 1984 "Maria" from West Side Story is also about as good as it gets.

Cappybara
For this year, I'm stuck between BD, OC, Spirit, and SCV. This isn't meant to be an insult to BD's show or anything... but did BD actually have a ballad in there?

poprocks
I'd also throw in any of the 3 ballads from Phantom's 2011 show. Pretty much any ballad from Cadets, Phantom, or SCV is great
