Excited to hear this news. If that number is based on pre-camp registrations, expect 150. Anyone who understands the game knows that.
YouDontKnowMe
Spirit has had 300-350 in attendance at Dec audition camp for the last couple of years. With the great new staff, it's not surprising that they are expecting even higher numbers this year.

Spirit just posted on their FB page they had over 400 auditionees at this weekend's camp.

YouDontKnowMe
Yep, Spirit had about 450 real live auditionees. Looks like Spirit DOES know how the game is played...
Beckham
A couple of my students auditioned this weekend. I don't know yet how they did but based on what I heard from their parents yesterday, they were having a blast. Glad to see SOA generating this much interest.

I was not dogging the corps. My post stated that if audition numbers were based on applicants, you should expect less that half of that to show. Anyhow, I have been a big SOA supporter the past few years. I wish them well. I am hoping they make a good transition and continue to not dismiss their accomplishments of the past few years. Peace. gbass598
Just wanted to throw this link out there. A former student of mine that currently assists me at the new school I'm teaching is close to an opportunity to play snare for Spirit of Atlanta this year. If anyone wishes to contribute to his campaign to cover his dues for indoor, drum corps, and travel, feel free to contribute to the link below. http://www.gofundme.com/5slbuo Thanks,
