garfield
So, here's our big DCP announcement. A new show format! Please help spread the word! www.emeraldcitygames.org Nine food trucks serving dinner for two hours before the Dublin show. Entertainment during the "dinner hours" by The Saints, DCI Soundsport team and the Watkins Memorial High School drum line. The concept is to get fans to the stadium earlier to eat and peruse the souvies, and to get foodies not necessarily familiar with drum corps there to try the food and, hopefully, buy a ticket to the show. If you Facebook, please repost. If you Twitter, please Tweet about our "dinner and a show" concept. We also have the Ohio's Fastest Drummer competition sponsored by Columbus Percussion. What else can we do to make our show day more of a community event and get those not familiar with drum corps to come to the stadium? Looking for ideas as well as critique! Sounds great...just wish the Bluecoats were coming. Maybe next year. Good luck with everything!
oldbandguy
Just curious...how will the food trucks impact the Dublin Band Boosters concession stand?
garfield
Just curious...how will the food trucks impact the Dublin Band Boosters concession stand? It won't, or will minimally. We've agreed to make the boosters "whole" (mostly, except for rain) from the show proceeds. The goal is to get more show proceeds.

SCV or Bluecoats. Not sure at this point which would be a bigger draw. And those close enough to get to Ohio will see 'Coats at their own show. SCV is a little tougher to see. SCV will also be at the Massillon show.
