kevingamin
Next on the field is the Cadets from Allentown, Pennsylvania. Their 2014 program is entitled "Promise: An American Portrait" and consists of: Lincoln Portrait Music for the Theater Appalachian Spring Grover's Corner from Our Town The Promise of Living (from Tender Land)

cfirwin3
I don't think it supposed to sound right. It's a lick from a minimalist piece that pretends to be a screaming jazz lick... it's always correct, but just confusing for the audience. Cleans the sinuses though... kevingamin
This is a TIGHT ensemble. Incredibly clean in all sections. The question is whether they can be clean enough and if they can push those GE scores high enough.

kevingamin
Mellos just nailed their lick in Lincoln Portrait, got applause for it. I'd love to hear the baritones playing backfield but I'm too busy getting hammered by quotes from Lincoln.
kevingamin
Colin McNutt signature drumline phrase as the first part of Lincoln Portrait ends.
