Cadets 2016

i know, i know. we really need a VR app for drum corps live feeds so we can turn our heads and see what's going on.

see? we agree.

I agree.

Hopkins hyped this. Even flipping the phone with a view from the box would have been much better

A little disappointing to hear about the live feed all week and then get a 12 yard view of an 80 yard wide program :(

Or we could just be appreciative of being able to see as much of a finish product from a corps as we can at this point in the season without having to belong to secret YouTube club.

wow -- such angry people here in the Cadet thread.

Let's see...just watched live feed.

Percussion smoking hot. Probably win Sanford.

Brass will be strong. Dont think they'll win Ott.

Guard, I know it's early, but...

Think the all black is too dark.

Not feeling the "new" visual design. And I'm not a traditionalist.

Agree with others. Too much rolling on ground.

Seemed very "cluttered", for lack of a better word.

Musically, liked the ballad the most. Loved French horn sound. The rest hmmm...

If last year was a 4th place show it will be interesting to see where this ends up.

Feel that Power of Ten was stronger and farther along at this point.

Could be year where they start slower and finish at top?

so hard to tell through a narrow lens. probably seems less scattered if you saw it all at once.

exactly. I've seen the show in person and the narrow view frankly did it an injustice. Sigh.

I would advise you not to go by the narrow view and the poor quality sound and video feed

It is MUCH better in person. The guard will be stronger than LY. The brass & Percussion is terrifc. There isn't much "scatter drill"

you might be right. I will try.

I took your "well, they're different" as negative and I guess I shouldn't have

I'm sorry.

Following the epic Sanford winning 2013 percussion, the current Cadets percussion continues to evolve....great writing by McNutt and Moyer; the battery seems to have improved from 2014-2016; pit last year was killer, so a lot to live up to there......blown away by the creativity on display so far.
