Hrothgar15
1992 Crossmen...I still haven't forget that impact! Bb/F. (Though I remember reading somewhere that their contras were converted Yamaha tubas, or something?)

oldsoprano
My wife and I were running the show in Fort Walton Beach, Fla., in 2008, so we were sitting on the track. When the Bluecoats hit the first note of "The Boxer," I nearly soiled my britches. That was for sure one of the loudest hornlines I've heard in recent years. Fran Haring
why do we have to fetishize volume You might as well ask drum corps fans why we need to breath air.
whitedawn
Bb/F. (Though I remember reading somewhere that their contras were converted Yamaha tubas, or something?) Several corps had YBB-201M Bb tubas fitted with G extensions throughout the 90s. It is likely that the Crossmen may have used these.
