Who else was designing their shows if not the staff?

I thought people were complaining last year because GH had his hand too much in the cookie jar.

I think we need to realize that this show is meant to be a "theatrical" approach to music design for theater

But yes, I understand and agree. Less is more.

Perhaps.  It just happens to fit in with much of the overly-literal approaches they've taken in recent years.

I think shows nowadays just need war and death. THAT'S what gets the crowd wild.

Ah, gotcha.  I'm still not sold that he's taken as much of a back-seat as others claim from a design input standpoint.

This would seem to help bolster my fears.

But time will tell.  I've actually just purchased that FloMarching, so looking forward to getting another read on the show tonight.  If all goes according to plan, I should have enough vodka in my system to approach it with fresh, bloodshot eyes.

And slides.  Don't forget slides.

War.  Death.  Slides.

A war where they push the losing opponent down a slide into a pit of death.

While playing Zappa, of course.

Lol, but on a serious note, I think what would get ME personally excited is if Cadets presented a powerful show where it was more than just happiness, religion, presidents, Americana. Something like an updated When the Kings go off to War, but a more modern version that has more fighting and death and a powerful hornline and aggressive drumline and guard.

You didn't miss it in Boston's show though.
