If Current DCI Model Gets Cut Back...

Now imagine what it would be like without efforts to prevent drunken driving and to get people to wear seatbelts. Not to mention to ensure cars have safety features.

We could do far more though. We could pursue and utilize technological solutions to prevent drunk driving.  And we could drive a lot less.  This crisis has illustrated how much less society needs to drive overall.

I have lost family and friends to traffic accidents.  I’m sure many of us have.  We could save numerous lives by making changes to driving habits and technology.

Lol. It’s a new virus. You really don’t think it’s going to be around in years to come?

That’s right. Not sure what’s funny about it though.

Drum Corps Xperience needs to clean up its various "Titanic" entries. For starters, the Broadway musical composer's last name is Yeston not Yetson.

Surprised that no World Class corps has performed either Horner's or Yeston's Titanic music.

Yeah.  Those efforts pale in comparison to the actions taken so far just to try to slow the rates of Covid infection.  I don’t think we take vehicle risk seriously enough.

At this time, the consensus prediction appears to be that it will stick around, and we'll have to get a coronavirus vaccine every year in addition to our flu vaccines. But that's just the best guess. Nobody knows for sure.

Dunno. What we're doing now is drastic but relatively short-term. How much did the economics of automobilie manufacturing change, albeit at a slower pace, because of all the safety featues that have been required over the years? Not to mention the costs of state licensing.

Not to mention laws regarding DUI. Had a stupid in law who refused a breathalyzer because he “knew” he wasn’t drunk. Too bad for him state had just started a new law. You refuse and no license for a year. BITD local cops thought you were under influence but not hammered you’d get “go straight home but be careful”

Curious to see how DCI emerges from this crisis relative to all the strategic planning the organization just undertook.

No it's not.  A POTUS adviser stated that It's not COVID-1 but it's COVID-19.  It's the 19th version of Coronavirus.

Therefore, it shouldn't effect the DCI model.  #StayOnTrack

Disclaimer: This is not a political statement but political humor?  Or is it?

Covid-19 is called that, not because it is the 19th version, but because it was discovered in 2019. So a covid-20 might appear and affect the DCI 2021 season.  What will the WH call that version of covid - Corona 2?
