johnric
1987 SCV.....why? Because they played the heck out of Russian Christmas music and IIRC was the first year they used rifles in a long while. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> boy o boy you Crossmen will vote for anything with Russian Christmas Music in it! :P

LancerFi
1980 27th Lancers - my ALLTIME favorite show! I bow humbly before LancerFi1980 Bridgemen 1987 Garfield Cadets (but I really also loved 87 Phantom, too!) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sending to you from Boston/Revere! Thanks Ms. Sally! I don't know though, the 80s as people and I have said will be tough, we may have a better chance with 1979, same show, only 80 was much better and much more tweaked!! ^0^ Wow and also your all time favorite.....thank you again. It was a fun year and a pretty great show to march! I haven't chosen yet, but I believe one of my votes must go to 1980 Spirit...although I could also look at one of their 70s shows also, I believe I like 80 the best..... Not just for the show but for the whole emotion that went into that show on finals night. I'm going to have a tough time picking Cadets (Gahfields) best 80s show, I loved 82, 83, 84, 85, and beyond.....I would probably have to with 83....only because I was on the track to share his/their bliss! Lancerlady
I realize that the best way for the 27th Lancers to be best represented is to not split the vote by choosing our favorite years, but rather picking one year, in which case I would nominate 1980 since that was the year they almost won the whole thing. I say this shamelessly and strategically as an alumnus. Even though I didn't march that year, but to me it is the best representation of the 27th Lancers for the year they almost won! A half a point! You have too!  :) Thank you for your vote! :) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm quoting myself again so this point can get across. Please vote many times for one year so 27 can get in! Thanks! I'm lobbying shamelessly! :) For Historical purposes as well! :) Thank you for your vote! b**bs Edited January 22, 2005 by Lancerlady

Blue Devil Legend
'87 SCV - from beginning to end, this corps took emotion to a new level. '87 Garfield - the fact that they beat SCV is good enough for me. Appalachian Spring was simply awesome. '80 27th - the only year I wished we (Blue Devils) had lost.
