LancerFi
This pic for some reason made me remember the differences in styles of marching...I was thinking about this like a week ago while watching a few videos. So, if you watch Phantom Regiment (my era) their guards snap happened from their shoulders/using their equipment to kind of make the statement, kind of the same with Guardsmen. It was mostly the top of the body. Ours was more the total length of the body, the whole thing moved at once, top and bottom snapped together. I was watching the turns and flanks etc. and theirs was separate. Don't know why I added this in this thread or if anyone even knows what I'm saying, but if you go to the video it will make more sense I guess. All were hard core, but the differences were obvious during that era.
supersop
1987 Connexion Quebec That's actually Les Eclipses from 1986. Connexion DID wear those uniforms the next year, but with different headgear and with scenery flats. 1987 Unknown Corps (PLEASE HELP!) 20th Maine Regiment. Also 86. Great pics. (Seen them before?) Thanks for the 20th Maine spotting I've never posted these before I don't think ... they're from my personal collection. If they're anywhere they're about 1000 pages back in this thread and I forgot I put them up.

A tough year. Thank you for marching and you should know that I am extremely proud of you all. Some years we must struggle. BTW, A Happy New Year to all! Just ran across this while searching the archives.....This photo is not of the 82 Glassmen, but of the 79 corps( first year back after several inactive seasons) It was taken after a rainy parade in Continental Ohio. I know this for certain because, although I hate to admit it, that would be me,top row, third from the left

scouttimp
Three things that need to make a Drum Corps Comeback: 1) Timp sets that are half pedal/half crank 2) Snare drums with slots cut out of the middle 3) TOMS WITH SCOOPS p.s. that guard uniform is awesome too! What girl wouldn't want to wear that on her head?
