CODI Posted July 26, 2005 Share Posted July 26, 2005 Our Lady of Lourdes, boy do they bring back memories. I remember them playing "Laura" for their exit. I believe Frank Turner was the soloist. Also, if I am not mistaken, after the " the parish church had them disbanded, (no pun intended) the majority of the corps went on to join The Boston Crusaders. In 1965 after the South Boston Gatesmen (disbanded) the majority of the corps also went on to march with the Boston Crusaders and they basically started the "Beast from the East"!
