richburgher
Yeah, but .2 of that was a penalty...so, in essence, they came from .5 down <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Forgot about that. So was tonight a bad night for Cadets, a good night for Cavies, a combination of the two, or is it all just a big tease and Cadets roll tomorrow? mfrontz
Did it start raining on the Cadets tonite? The BD website blog mentions rain during their show. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not necessarily - during the first "dream sequence," when she comes through the door, she comes into a "rainstorm" and has an umbrella. The guard has blue flags. Probably what that meant.

JMS0527
I thought the Cavies seemed off last night...just seemed like that from the video snippet.. The closing of the gap tonight didn't surprise me... The Cavies would have to just let it all hang out figuring they have nothing to lose....which is what they did in 2000, and Santa Clara did '

I would say that the 1.55 from last night was the aberration, and that a spread of less than a point is probably a much more accurate portrayal of how even these two corps are. JMS0527
Where are you getting that information from? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It was on the recaps at the time... Blue Devils and Cavies both got a .1 penalty at Quarterfinals... Blue Devils got another .1 at Semis and Cavies got .2... Finals, they didn't get penalized but Santa Clara was penalized .
jwillis35
No change tomorrow. Cavies will make it close, but Cadets win. I don't think that any corps has won quarters and semis and not won finals. BD did win in 1996, although they tied Phantom. Cadets did win in 2000, although they tied Cavies. This could happen tomorrow, but it would be a long shot. However, Cavies were around .7 out of first in 2000 as well after semi finals. BD did win in 1999 despite the tie Star won 3 quarterfinals in a row from 1991 - 1993, but they did not win semi finals in 1992 and 1993. You would have to go back to a time when the top corps did not compete in quarters. SCV won semis in Miami in 1983, but Cadets won finals. I would say that Cadets would likely do no worse than a tie.
