So, I dont think Ive seen this topic yet for 2005 season, so humor me if it has already been done.....anyways....

Which hornlines this year blew you backwards a few rows with their power?

Pretty simple question I think....

For me Id say Blue Devils and Phantom Regiment were putting out the most sound by far.

BD's show aside, their sheer volume I thought was impressive.  Big fat sound.

Madison! Oh wait....thought you said 1975.

Just looking at power chords and impact points, Madison and Blue Devils. My vote for loudest mellophone section, hands down to Madison.

I would say Carolina Crown, Phantom Regiment

Triple Forte (My name says it all...... :P )

No one blew me away.

Sorry, but that's the truth.

I was just thinking of the same thing! Although I loved the lushious sounds that came from PR, there wasn't any hornline this year that ripped my face off. Don't know if it had to do with horn placements or the fact that they aren't playing Bugles.
