Predictions....

Recommended Posts

Honestly, all I care about is whether or not Bluecoats will stay in the Top 5. If they have most of the vets and the same staff, I'd certainly hope they can make it happen again, maybe even moving up to 4th!

I wish for a lot of things to happen next year. Probably not all will happen but...

I wish for Phantom to win the championship next year, on their 50th anniversary.

I wish for the Bluecoats to continue their rise and keep doing shows that are as good, nay, will be BETTER than this year's (and that could be tough because their show this year was awesome).

I wish for Crown to come up out of nowhere and at least make Top 5, and yes, Top 4 in brass.

I wish for the Cavaliers and Blue Devils to do something different, and by different I mean musically, rather than the same weird arrangements they've been doing for the last 3-5 years (and I'm not putting down the corps, I'm just putting down the arrangements- I want them to go back to playing pieces rather than rearranging them with their own weird original twists.).

I wish the Cadets continue to stay successful and in the Top 4 and keep doing their concept shows, but just use a lot less vocals and doors.

I wish for the Madison Scouts to rise up again, and I pray that one year they will win it all again.

Most importantly, I wish for my favorite corps of all time, the Santa Clara Vanguard, to come back up and and keep going up, and stay there, and win the championship.

Too bad that I can't get everything I want, especially all in one year. Too bad this is more of a wish list too as opposed to predictions. :P

Based on absolutley nothing. It's September! Some kids still haven't unpacked from tour!

Cadets- Stay unique and perfect it.

Devils- Come back hard.

Cavaliers- Too much content for Phantom but their show looks like highlights from 2000-2005.

Phantom-Find a winning formular in 2005 are even better in 2006, crowd is shocked they don't place higher.

Bluecoats- Much better in 2006. Battles with top 4 corps all summer, even beating the top corps a couple times in early and mid season. Finally gets slotted as a tie for third.

Crown- As strong as 2005. Once again a crowd favorite.

Vanguard- Still adjusting to staff changes, SCV stays in the battle for top 5 all year.

Madison- Fights tooth and nail with Crown and Vanguard for 5th place.

Boston- Crown, SCV, Scouts jockey for position all summer.

Crossmen- Come back in a big way! Bottom 5 flip flop position until semifinals.

Blueknights- Battle with Crossmen and Glassmen.

Glassmen-Make top 12 by nipping Spirit , Colts and Capital Regiment.

Heh, much as I love predictions, this is a little too early even for me. :worthy:

But I will say that, like Carl306 and ACE-Driving, I'm hoping the 'Coats keep on moving on. It's just so hard to do that when you break into top five, though. They could easily be better than last year, yet still fall a spot. I'm hoping they crack top three, though. :)

do you really think vanguard's going to win it all in 06?
Well not really. But kinda like long shot gamble :)

But hey 1987 Madison was 7th right? then in 1988 they came in first. Who knows.

Hmmm Amazing how much difference a year can make. You never know do ya.

1980

1) 90.60 Blue Devils

2) 90.25 27th Lancers

3) 90.05 Bridgemen

4) 89.80 Spirit of Atlanta

5) 88.45 Phantom Regiment

6) 87.05 Madison Scouts

7) 85.60 Santa Clara Vanguard

1981

1) 94.00 Santa Clara Vanguard

2) 93.70 Blue Devils

3) 92.60 Madison Scouts

4) 91.90 27th Lancers

5) 90.85 Phantom Regiment

7) 89.40 Garfield Cadets
