krazyivan
i was thinkink about this on the way home from a local football game while listning to the scores the raido station that was doing the scores was playing a song from the NFL flim series. and i realised the music from that would make a really good corp show. i have some of the songs and for a corp it would make great music. open up with the autumn wind them move onto the equalizer followed by up she rises then ramblin man from gamblin closing with the final quest. Sideways
Not entirely sure what to call this show. Possibly an anti SCV 2000 show: Age of Irreverence? Faber College Theme - Animal House - Elmer Bernstein Overture to Candide - Leonard Bernstein Best of All Possible Worlds - Leonard Berstein Et Misericordia - John Rutter Prelude, Fugue, and Riffs - Leonard Bernstein
Jocko the Wonder Llama
"Billy the Mountain" by Frank Zappa. Then again, since the piece is about 20 minutes long, and the vast majority of a drum corps audience is not using mind-altering drugs, perhaps not. B) Fran Zappa's "Black Napkins" would be another good one too. (Especially if you have an almost 25 year-old live recording)

HollyDeux
Pink Floyd would be cool.. however I see it more as one big acid trip if you will. i think Dark Side of the Moon would be a better choice than the Wall... and that way you could also play on how the music of that ties in with The Wizard of Oz...(if you've never done this.. i highly reccomend it.. its fantastic.. and yes. it really does work) either that. or.. i've wanted to do this show for years.... WILLY WONKA!! theres some great music in that movie.. (the old one.. not the new one)
Govie_Juggler
Govies played Tank and Rush in '03, I've been working on our show coordinator to play it again. I also think that the Adult Swim cartoon Samuri Jack has some good music in it too. Spamalot would make a fun show too.

There is a CD collection of NFL Films music. It called something like "Autumn Thunder: 50 Years of Music from NFL Films." I'm hoping that Santy Claws will bring it to me some Christmas. Either that, or I'll stick a crowbar in my wallet and get it myself :D If you could could get away with it, you could title your show "Autumn Thunder."
